A snow snake?

Posted by
Julie (Easton, United States) on 14 February 2011 in Plant & Nature and Portfolio.

As I was trekking through the snow, this certainly caught my eye. Amazing how things happen in nature.

Yes it's a snake, but I don't know why this time the snake doesn't frighten me at all;-)))

Philou04 from Manosque, France

It could have been a little monkey too. But the snake is a good idea. Great shot.

@Philou04: Thanks, and yes it could have been a monkey too.

anne fleurent from Bois-le-roi, France

the ghost of a poor squirrel dead to have too dreamed of hot days...

22 Feb 2011 9:10am

@anne fleurent: Yes, perhaps so! Thanks for stopping by!

Mary from PA, United States

This is really neat. I've heard that certain weather conditions and temps and all will allow the snow to melt like this. If we still had our kids sliding board it would have slid off it in a long sheet something like ribbon candy....it doesn't happen often.

23 Feb 2011 7:10pm

@Mary: Yes it really was different to see this. Now that sliding board thing sounds cool!
